Sustainability
“Relaxshoe is aware of the challenges that the future holds for the planet and society.
The company has been incorporating environmental and social issues into its business for years and has decided to make sustainability a key pillar of its mission.”

We Care for the Planet
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Some years ago, Relaxshoe Italia began to initiate its first environmental sustainability projects by installing a photovoltaic system at its Italian headquarters and only sourcing renewable energy for its remaining needs.
In recent years, we have also worked tirelessly at our foreign sites, with an important project to install a photovoltaic system in Bosnia as well.
This was completed in 2023 and started operation in April 2024.
It covers 10% of our energy needs, while we have decided to purchase green energy for the remaining 90%.
We are therefore pleased to confirm that as of 1 May 2024, the factories of our subsidiaries, Amika d.o.o. and Relaxshoe Bosna D.o.o., only consume green energy.
We have replaced neon lighting with LED technology in all group factories, and work is being done to improve the insulation of working environments.
An energy consumption monitoring system has been installed on all injection moulding machines and related equipment to optimise the use of electricity and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
CLIMATE ACTION PROJECTS
From 2020 to 2022, we participated in certified carbon offset activities, climate change mitigation tools in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identified by the United Nations.
The SDGs date back to 2015 and are well explained on the official website.
There are 17 common goals divided into 169 ‘targets’ that all 193 UN member states in the international community have set to promote the sustainable development of the planet, with the aim of achieving them by 2030.
The goals belong to every country and every individual in the world and have been recognized and adopted by everyone concerned with ‘development’ in the broadest sense.
This implies cooperation, but also community development, economic and social development and environmental sustainability.

Our Contribution
Furthermore, to make a significant contribution to achieving these important sustainable development goals,
RELAXSHOE HAS CHOSEN TO ANALYSE ITS SUPPLY CHAIN TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND ASSESS ITS SUPPLIERS’ COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY.

The company has also decided to monitor and engage everyone involved in the company’s business (stakeholders), with attention to its supply chain in particular, integrating their assessments with environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects to achieve increasingly fruitful engagement in the fight against climate change.
From an environmental point of view, many production impacts can be attributed to the procurement of raw materials, their processing and the sale of products, just as suppliers’ social and labour management aspects are a major concern for companies.
In our industry, customers and consumers are paying ever more attention to sustainability criteria in their purchases. This is another reason why we believe that a thorough evaluation of the supply chain is essential in reducing business risks and ensuring an ethical approach to our business model, to avoid externalizing environmental and social impacts.
A SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN STRIVES TO MINIMISE THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACTS OF SUPPLIES

Regardless of the number of suppliers, the supply chain must be based on monitoring the performance of those involved, thereby orientating its purchasing decisions around accurate, up-to-date information.
ESG (environment, social, governance) criteria form the basic indicators for analysing company activities in terms of integrated sustainability. It must be said that a company’s ability to achieve international and local sustainable development goals ensures positive effects for the planet and people, but also corporate profits.
On the contrary, a company’s unwillingness or inactivity in pursuing objectives in this area can affect — even negatively — stakeholders and the entire supply chain in particular.
Our code of conduct is provided below.
Lastly, we would like to point out the considerable effort our company has made in drafting and disseminating its Code of Conduct to everyone involved in our business activities (stakeholders).
