NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS IN TANZANIA – VCS1897

The Ntakata REDD+ project was launched in May 2017 with the primary goal of engaging and supporting local communities in protecting the forest reserves in their villages. This project contributes to conserving the wildlife habitat and mitigating climate change while creating employment and significant opportunities for some of Tanzania’s most remote villages.

Guarantees of land ownership and management rights for marginalised communities in the area
Collaboration with organisations that can guarantee communities ownership of their land and rights to resources
